Job Title: Administrative Assistant (Part-Time, Remote)
Location: Remote / Work from Home
Schedule: 20–25 hours per week, flexible hours
Travel: One week per year (typically in July)
Position Overview
We are seeking a dependable and highly organized Administrative Assistant to provide remote administrative support in a mission-driven environment. This role requires a self-motivated professional who is comfortable working independently, managing communications, and supporting operational and event-related tasks.
This position is best suited for candidates who have prior remote administrative support experience and are confident managing email communication and customer inquiries in a professional setting.
Experience working in the substance use disorder (SUD) field is a plus but not required.
Key Responsibilities

Monitor and respond to a shared inbox in a professional and timely manner

Provide customer service support by responding to inquiries from members, partners, and stakeholders

Assist with planning and coordinating organizational events

Maintain organized digital files and documentation

Support administrative and operational projects assigned

Utilize or learn Association Management System (AMS) platforms to manage contacts, events, or communications
Schedule & Availability

20–25 hours per week with flexible scheduling during standard U.S. business hours

Must be able to respond to time-sensitive communications during scheduled work hours

Occasional pre-scheduled evening or weekend work may be required (typically less than 4 hours per month)
Required Qualifications
-
2+ years of administrative, executive, or office support experience

Prior experience managing professional email communication or shared inboxes

Strong written communication skills and attention to detail

Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment

Strong organizational and time-management skills

Proficiency with common workplace tools (Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, Zoom, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with an Association Management System (AMS)

Experience supporting professional associations, nonprofits, or mission-driven organizations

Familiarity with the substance use disorder (SUD) field
Travel Requirement

Ability to travel for one week (7 days) per year (typically in July) for annual conference.
Compensation
-
$30,000–$35,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
