Our weekend Recovery meetings will be held in the beautiful Swan Lake Room, with views over the surrounding Arts & Cultural District. The impressive National Gallery of Victoria (free) and Royal Botanic Gardens are a short walk away. A river cruise or walk along the Yarra River is also just a few steps away. The view from the Mantra Southbank (below) shows the spire of the Arts Centre of Victoria (musicals, plays, opera etc.) and the rectangular shaped National Gallery, which houses an excellent collection of international art in the permanent collection. The parklands of inner Melbourne (including the “must see” the Royal Botanic Gardens, are behind these buildings)
Below is the Swan Lake Room, where the weekend meetings will be held. Due to the larger numbers for the Addiction Medicine Academic Day (Friday), the Arabesque Room (ground floor will be used for Friday only)
Rooms at the Mantra are full sized apartments. A kitchen is provided if you feel like putting together your own feast, but the Spire Restaurant is also on site, and there are many restaurant options along the nearby Yarra River, Southbank Complex. A supermarket is nearby, or catch the tram to the famous Queen Victoria Market to buy the freshest and most wide-ranging produce in Victoria.
The Mantra rooms, (pictured below), are available in one or two bedroom options. There is also a beautiful indoor heated swimming pool with great views, so don’t forget your swimming togs. Mantra website; click here.
