INFORMATION ABOUT SNOWBIRD SKI AND SUMMER RESORT:

Snowbird Ski and Summer Resort is in Little Cottonwood Canyon, located just 28 miles from the Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC). The Snowbird Resort is a world-renowned, full-service resort with a strong family emphasis. Summer or winter, Snowbird focuses on recreation and relaxation. Luxurious suites, outdoor heated pools, spa services and delicious meals are just a few of Snowbird's amenities. Several restaurants and retail opportunities are available. Exciting mountain biking and hiking trails are popular summer activities at Snowbird, along with organized recreational activities such as the Coaster, Alpine Slide, Mountain Flyer, Vertical Drop, Ropes Course, Climbing Wall, Bungee Trampoline, Aerial Tram and others. The Aerial Tram zooms 125 passengers from 8100 feet to 11,000 feet in about 8 minutes and provides views of spectacular scenery.

For the 2015/16 season, Snowbird invested over $35 million into capital improvements. These projects include The Summit at Snowbird and an extensive remodel of The Cliff Lodge. The Cliff Spa is a full-service spa and salon on the top floor of the Cliff Lodge, with a yoga room and large fitness center. Meeting attendees will get a discount for the daily spa and fitness center pass, and a discount on spa services. For more information or to book your spa treatments, see:

www.snowbird.com/cliff-spa/

Snowbird's base elevation, at the Snowbird Center, is 8,100 feet. [In comparison, Keystone Resort in Colorado was at a base elevation of 9,280 feet.] Snowbird's highest point is at Hidden Peak, where the Tram docks at a whopping 11,000 feet. So plan for feeling the higher elevation (see the "Altitude Information" section for more general advice about clothing, hydration, activity, etc at high elevation).

Please note that NO pets are allowed in the canyon, in the lodges, or kept in vehicles during your visit, except by special permit (canyon residents, rescue, and service dogs with proper documentation). Little Cottonwood Canyon is part of the Salt Lake City Protected Watershed. There is a substantial ($750+) penalty for violating this prohibition.
