Keystone Resort is the largest ski resort in Summit County Colorado. With 1,200 lodging units across five villages-each within a short walk or shuttle ride from the conference center-Keystone is sure to offer a housing option which you will find acceptable. Places to stay range from the Keystone Lodge & Spa's AAA Four-Diamond rated hotel rooms to the secluded condominiums in the heavily forested West Keystone or in the center of the lively village of River Run. And, wherever you stay, you're just a short walk or free shuttle ride from the conference center and activities. The resort has reserved a block of rooms for us three days before and after the convention so you can make this your EPIC vacation in the Rockies.

The 2013 LAC recommends that our more mature members consider rooms at the lodge which offer the most convenience to the conference center and spa. The conference center is located just north of the Lakeside Village. Rates for a lodge accommodation begin at $189.00. For others, we strongly recommend you consider the value offered in reserving a condo for your stay. A one bedroom condo starts at $179.00 ranging to the excellent value found in four bedroom condos beginning at $369.00. As you can see, a two bedroom condo can be reserved for little more than the cost of one room in the lodge. A two or three bedroom condo could hold a family or house several couples wanting to spend some quality recovery time together. In addition, condos offer the convenience of a living area and a kitchen reducing the cost of extra meals. To view a map of available properties use the following link: Keystone Map.

Keystone Resort is above 8,000 feet in elevation and some members have expressed concerns about altitude sickness. Keystone has tens of thousands of visitors every year from all over the world. In their experience, about 20-30 percent of visitors experience some minor symptoms of altitude sickness which could include some shortness of breath on exertion, elevated pulse, nausea, and headache. These symptoms usually resolve in the first couple of days and can be alleviated by staying well hydrated, limiting caffeine and "considering the avoidance of alcohol".

Keystone resort and a nearby emergicare are well equipped to appraise more advanced symptoms which are unusual.

The Spa at the Keystone Lodge is a sanctuary like no other. Treatments combine organic products and indigenous ingredients that are sure to heighten your senses and reenergize your feeling of health and well-being. Daily passes available to outdoor pool, hot tubs, sauna and steam room. Text play, eat, golf or spa to 888999 for discounted deals or contact the Keystone mountain concierge at 800.354.4386.
