Join us at the JW Marriott Starr Pass
Tucson, Arizona
August 3-7, 2011

You may find the home page to this 5-star resort and spa at: www.jwmarriottstarrpass.com, and we are strongly encouraging everyone to arrive and check-in if possible on Tues August 2nd, 2011, to be ready to start the conference at noon on Wed, with the Welcome Buffett that Wed evening.

Our theme, "There Is a Solution" is the title of the 2nd Chapter in the book, "Alcoholics Anonymous", and refers to a spiritual experience being the solution to chronic alcoholism; further expanded upon on page 85, "What we really have is a daily reprieve contingent upon the maintenance of our spiritual condition."

The site selection committee chose Starr Pass in Tucson as a place of serenity, conducive to a spiritual desert experience, and a spiritual group experience.

As always, IDAA 2011 will feature a variety of recovery programs for all family members who attend. Sessions for AA, Al-Anon, IDAA Teen, and our popular recovery-based Jerry Moe Children's Program for 7 to 12 year olds are returning to ensure the most valuable experience for all ages and programs. The Ala-Twenty (and beyond) program, for "matured" IDAA Teens, has become a strong and growing component of the meeting. A program of continuing educational credits will be offered, for medical & dental.

New attendees are, of course, the lifeblood of our conference. Thanks to the ongoing generosity of our members, partial or full AA and Al-Anon scholarships are available for individuals and families in need. If you know of anyone who may benefit from the IDAA fellowship, please encourage them to apply for a scholarship on or after March 1, 2011.

The local arrangement committee looks forward to hosting the 2011 meeting and hopes to see many new and old members. Check us out and register online for the meeting. Please make your hotel reservations as early as possible.
