IDAA Annual Meeting 2007
Join us at the Boston Park Plaza Hotel & Towers
Our theme is the Boston "Sereni-Tea" Party.
The courageous message given in 1775 as a cry for freedom is repeated within IDAA , in our quest for freedom and serenity, through the principles, steps, traditions, and promises of Alcoholics Anonymous and other twelve step programs that IDAA espouses
Let us cast our fears, doubts, and insecurities overboard, along with the chains of "Devil Rum" and other addictions that bedevil us. "Let us set sail on the journey to the freedom and joy of sobriety".
The meeting will be held at the Boston Park Plaza Hotel, created in 1927 by hotelier E.M. Statler as a grand American Hotel. With an unmatched location, this grand edifice is adjacent to the Public Gardens, which boasts its Swan Boats, and in proximity to the finest shops, restaurants, and theaters.
As in the past, IDAA 2007 will provide family oriented recovery programs for all who attend. Sessions for AA, Al-Anon, IDAATeen, and our popular recovery-based children's program for 7 to 12 year olds is returning to insure the most valuable experience for all ages and programs. To show the enduring value of the program, the Al-Twenty has become a strong and growing part of the program.
New attendees are the life blood of our meeting. Thanks to the ongoing generosity of our members, partial or full AA and Al-Anon scholarships are available for individuals and families in need. If you know of anyone who may benefit from the IDAA fellowship, please encourage them to register for the meeting and apply for a scholarship.
Check out our conference trips for other ideas to have some fun and relaxation. Register here for the trips to: Historic Tour of Plymouth (Sunday, July 29), Marblehead and Old Salem (Monday, July 30), Complete Tour of Boston (Tuesday, July 31), Boston Tea Party Experience (Wednesday, August 1), and Private Boston Duck Tours (Friday, August 3).
The local arrangement committee looks forward to hosting the 2007 meeting and hopes to see many new and old members. Check us out and register online for the meeting. Please make your hotel reservations as early as possible -- it is an important way to help us facilitate the meeting.
