Most are familiar with the colossal attractions in Orlando; Disney World, Universal Studios, and Sea World, but some of the more enjoyable are the smaller, less crowded, venues. Here is a nice list of attractions and their connecting links. For those who have getting wet in a big way as part of their plans, visit Disney World's Typhoon Lagoon, or Blizzard Beach. Not to be missed is Sea World's new water park, Aquatica, which is definitely worth a visit. Of course Wet and Wild, owned by Universal Studios, is consistently rated one of the top water parks in America. If that's not enough water, then drive east for just over an hour to the closest Atlantic Ocean shoreline in Cocoa Beach, home of world famous Ron Jon Surf Shop. If driving on the sand is more to your liking then only minutes further, to the north, Daytona Beach is the place. Between the two is Kennedy Space Center, which is an attraction in itself. Just over an hour from Orlando, to the west, St. Pete Beach, or Clearwater Beach, are both known for wide, white sand beaches stretching along the Gulf of Mexico. Some families may adopt the divide and conquer approach, with the gatherers covering the sales at the area bargain outlets. Here are seven choice options that should keep the credit cards active: the Belz Festival Bay Mall, the Florida Mall, the Lake Buena Vista Factory Stores, the Mall at Millenia, the Pointe Orlando International Drive Mall, the Premium Designer Outlet Center on International Drive, and the Premium Outlets on Vineland Avenue. Being on Disney property is so convenient. Walk just one block away from the Hilton to abundant shopping, entertainment, and dining at the Downtown Disney® area, which includes Cirque de Soleil/La Nouba, Disney Quest, Downtown Disney® Pleasure Island, Downtown Disney® Marketplace, and Planet Hollywood. Dining at the Hilton offers many possibilities, or opt to walk that block to another "A" list of eateries at Downtown Disney®. HEY EVERYBODY, DON'T FORGET THE CONFERENCE!!!
