Pre-Convention Activities for IDAA 2004

The local arrangements committee has tried to select pre-convention activities which are unique to Florida.

With more coastline (very nearly 2,000 miles) we have access to more salt-water fishing areas than any other state. For those inveterate fishermen in our group (Simon L. of the UK comes to mind) we have arranged a Deep Sea fishing opportunity. A short ride will take our intrepid anglers to the Gulf of Mexico where some of the best salt-water fishing in the US can be found.

Other than central Russia and, lately, China, where can you see an actual spaceport? The Kennedy Space Center at Cape Canaveral is a short bus ride away and one pre-convention option is an all-day tour to and through this remarkable facility.

Finally where else can you board an airboat and go speeding across a tropical swamp?

All opportunities which will be available if you come early to IDAA 2004. Tuesday the fishing and Kennedy Space center events, both all-day affairs, will be available and Wednesday morning the airboat tours.
