IDAA 2004 - Children and Alateens

Once again Jerry Moe, of the Betty Ford Center, has agreed to bring his educational program for children ages 7 - 12 living in families impacted by alcoholism or other drug addictions to IDAA 2004. This three-day program, offered from 10AM to 4PM Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, utilizes art, games, story telling, films, written exercises, role play and recreation to help youngsters build strengths and deepen their resilience. Skilled counselors lead the groups for children. Parents will participate in the children for part of the last day.

This program is not childcare but children attending will be able to join our childcare program after the session.

This is a VERY popular program and registration is limited. Complete daily participation in each session is required. Please register early as the program is already filling rapidly.

ALATEENS

Again Bob and Twila Grandchamp will be returning as Alateen sponsors. Parents will be required to sign an Alateen World Release form which releases IDAA from any harm that might occur in the Alateen room when the sponsors are not present. In the best interest of our members and the Alateens, the Alateen room will close daily from 1:00AM 7:00AM.
