The Radisson has been one of the South's finest historic landmark hotels since it's opening in 1940 when it was acclaimed Mobile's only luxury class hotel. It was named for Raphael Semmes, the commander of the Confederate ship, Alabama. Beautifully renovated is 1984, the hotel has been placed on the prestigious list of Historic Hotels of America. Mobile Regional Airport is 25 minutes away.
